Charity plants trees and most of them die

What happens when you buy a product that claims to donate money to plant trees? There was one case where the charity actually planted the trees, but no one watered them and almost all of them died.

Before donating or buying a product, check with your charity to follow up to see if the trees they planted in the past are still alive. Check with a third party to see if the trees are actually alive.

Don't waste your money on charities that won't care for the trees. Planting them is one thing, keeping them alive, apparently, is quite different.
