A new study from Technical University of Munich shows even a small zinc deficiency can cause digestive problems but does not normally cause fatigue or skin problems.
Some highlights.
- Even the smallest zinc deficiency can cause problems. Although this is referred to as a "sub clinical" problem.
- Zinc deficiency tends to reduce an animal's appetite.
- The pancreas puts zinc into the digestive tract to help with digestion.
- "...a subclinical zinc deficiency in humans has been attributed to increased levels of inflammation markers and reduced immunocompetence."
